Protection Against Intrusion
Enhanced protective glass provides increased resistance
to intrusion - enough to deter most would-be thieves.Laminated glass
provides up to 10 times the penetration resistance of
standard tempered glass. Enhanced versions of EPG can
resist up to two minutes of aggressive attack by a
would-be intruder.
In 2005 the FBI uniform
crime statistics showed that $7.6 billion in losses
occurred as a result of motor vehicle break-ins. They
estimate that 50% of these incidents resulted from
vehicle entry through a broken side window.
